Apple seeds iPadOS 16.5 beta to developers

A day after the release of iPadOS 16.4, Apple announces the testing of an upcoming incremental update – iPadOS 16.5. Obviously, the upgrade will come with a number of changes alongside the system-wide enhancements. Read along to know more details about the upcoming iPadOS 16.5 first beta update.

Apple is pushing the new iPadOS 16.5 beta to the compatible iPads with the 20F5028e build number. The first beta weighs around 4.86GB in size, yes, a bigger one compared, so make sure you have enough data and storage on your iPad. If your iPad is compatible with iPadOS 16 and you are a developer, you can freely upgrade your iPad to iPadOS 16.5 beta.

At the moment, the upgrade is available for developers, it will be released to public beta testers in a matter of time. As always, Apple didn’t share any information about changes in the release notes, but you can expect new features and enhancements with this update.

I’ve just installed the new upgrade on my iPad and have yet to explore it, but as per the details coming from the users across social media, the upgrade is bringing the My Sports dedicated tab to the Apple News app as well as the support for screen recording can be done using Siri.

If you own a compatible iPad, you can follow the below steps to install the first beta on your iPad.

If you want to test the new beta on your eligible iPad then there’s no need to install beta profile on your iPad. Instead, you can follow the new method to install the upgrade on your iPad. if you want to install the iPadOS 16.5 first beta, then you can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, then select Beta Updates option and choose iPadOS 16 Developer Beta or Public Beta.

Once done, go back to the Software Updates section and then you have the new update appear on your screen, tap on Download and Install option.
