Apple kicks off the week with the second release candidate build of iOS 18.2. Since the week has just started, we can expect the iOS 18.2 public release later this week. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the update, and hopefully, the wait will be over soon.
iOS 18.2 is the second big update in the iOS 18 lineup, which will add more AI features along with other enhancements. The first iOS 18.2 RC was released last week. The first RC may still have some issues or troubles, prompting Apple to release a second RC.
Along with the iOS 18.2 RC2, Apple also released iPadOS 18.2 RC2, tvOS 18.2 RC2, macOS Sequoia 15.2 RC2, HomePodOS 18.2 RC2, and visionOS 2.2 RC2.
iOS 18.2 RC2 and iPadOS 18.2 RC2 comes with same build number which is 22C151. Since this is the latest RC, the upcoming public build will match this RC and not the first RC.
The iOS 18.2 RC2 doesn’t brings any major changes, but it fixes several bugs and resolves many issues. However, the changelog remains the same as the first RC.
If you have opted for the iOS 18 beta on your eligible iPhone, you will receive the latest RC. You can install the latest RC or you can also opt out of beta for the public release coming later this week or early next week. The iOS 18.2 RC2 is the same as upcoming public release, so if you are a beta participant, you can install it.
