Apple seeds iOS 16.0.1 update for iPhone 14 Series

Apple has rolled out the second iOS update today. The iOS 16.0.1 update is now available for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is the first update for the iPhone 14 model and comes with several bug fixes. The update aims at the stability of the iPhone 14 performance.

Earlier today, Apple also released the iOS 16.1 developer beta with some new changes, such as the battery percentage for the remaining iPhones and more. But iOS 16.0.1 is available to the public. And if you have already got your iPhone 14 then you will receive the update on your device.

The shipping date of the iPhone 14 is September 16 but many users have already received the device. Since this is a new iPhone, there are chances that it might have some issues. And so this update will fix some known issues. The update comes with build number 20A371. You can view the full changelog below.

Fixes issues:

  • with activation and migration during set up
  • where photos may appear soft when zooming in landscape orientation on iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • where enterprise single sign-on apps may fail to authenticate

The update is available to the Public but only for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. So if you have already got your iPhone 14, then you can check for the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

Once you see the update, tap Download and Install and wait for the installation. Before updating, take a backup of your important data and charge your iPhone to at least 50%.
