Apple seeds iOS 14.3 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.3 Beta 1

After a short update drama, Apple has finally released iOS 14.3 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.3 Beta updates. They first published the update then removed, then they did it again and in the third time they finally did it right. The iOS 14.3 Beta and iPadOS 14.3 Beta 1 is currently available for developers only. But soon you will be getting the public beta as well. We will update it, once the public beta is out. Last week Apple pushed an iOS 14.2 update for everyone. And after a week the iOS 14.3 Beta 1 is also out in the form of beta. It doesn’t look like a big update like iOS 14.2 but it has some new features and bug fixes. Some users have reported a few bugs especially the keyboard lag issue. It means there can be more than five iOS 14.3 beta updates before its final release. The update is available in size from 4GB to 6GB depending on the iPhone or iPad model.

The update comes with a new modem update, so if you had any network or connectivity issues in your previous update. Then you can expect to be fixed in this update.

The next feature is exclusive for iPhone 12 Pro series and it is the ProRAW support. It allows users to camera image in RAW format It can be later edited as users need. The photos clicked with ProRAW enabled will be high in size up to 25MB. You can enable the option from Settings > Camera > Formats.

Apple iOS 14.3 Beta 1 also brings support for the latest dual sense PlayStation 5 wireless controller. It means you can connect a PS5 controller with your iPhone. It also supports the Luna Amazon controller.

Weather app also comes with a new Air Quality feature for some countries. The list of countries includes the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, India and Mexico. It will also be available in China in upcoming updates. You can see the Air Quality reading on your weather app.

A new Pregnancy section has been added in the Health app. You can access by searching it on the Health app on your iPhone.

The update is currently available for developer beta users. And later public beta testers will also get this update. It will be rolling out via OTA update for users who have the beta profile installed on their devices. 

If you don’t have the beta profile on your iPhone then you can follow the below guide to get it on your device. You can also install iOS 14.3 Beta 1 with the full IPSW file using Finder or iTunes. But installing a beta profile is the safe method. Let’s jump into the guide.

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.2 beta 4 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad.
