After introducing iOS 17.2 to the public yesterday, today Apple started testing iOS 17.3 beta. Yes, the first beta of iOS 17.3 is now available to developers. It will soon be available to public beta testers. Letโs find out more about the iOS 17.3 Beta 1.
Apple is following the same pattern as last year. Last year also Apple released beta build of new iOS update before the western holidays. And according to the pattern, we may not see any more beta this month. Apple will resume the beta next month.
Along with iOS 17.3 Beta 1, the tech giant also released iPadOS 17.3 Beta 1, watchOS 10.3 Beta 1, tvOS 17.3 Beta 1, macOS Sonoma 14.3 Beta 1, macOS Ventura 13.6.4 RC, macOS Monterey 12.7.3 RC, and visionOS 1.0 Beta 7.
The iOS 17.3 Beta 1 and iPadOS 17.3 Beta 1 are available with build number 21D5026f. It will be same for public beta testers as well.
Talking about new features and changes, since the update just released, I am still gathering all the changes. I will add all the changes below on the list.
- New option for Stolen Device Protection
- More options in the Journal Settings
- Apple Music collaborative playlist feature is back
- When Lockdown Mode is enabled, it will not let you use Game Center
- Some bug fixes
The iOS 17.3 Beta 1 is rolling out to developers, and soon it will be available to beta testers. Apple has made it quite easy to enroll for beta and enjoy beta builds. All you need to do is select your preferred choice in the Software Update page. To check for the update go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Before switching to beta build from public build make sure to take backup first. And also charge your iPhone to at least 50%.
