Apple seeds first beta of watchOS 11.2 to developers

Apple has just released the first beta of watchOS 11.2 to developers for testing purposes. The testing of the gradual upgrade begins one week after the watchOS 11.1 public release. The update is expected to bring new features and enhancements. Read on to learn more about watchOS 11.2 beta update.

Apple is seeding the new software upgrade to the eligible Apple Watches with the 22S5077d build number. The update weighs around 665MB in size on the Apple Watch Series 7. If you’re a developer and want to try out the new changes, you can freely update your Apple Watch to watchOS 11.2 beta.

At the time of writing, the update is live for developers, it should be available for public beta testers in a matter of time. Talking about the features and changes, while the changelog does not mention any specific features, this doesn’t mean the absence of new features. We can expect some new features, enhancements, and fixes to be included in the watchOS 11.2 beta 1 release.

watchOS 11.2 Beta

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 18.2 developer beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 11.2 beta 1 on your Watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the first beta of watchOS 11.2.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11.2 beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
