Apple has kicked off the third beta of watchOS 11.1 for testing purposes. The gradual upgrade comes out one week after the release of second beta. The update focuses on bugs fixes and enhancements. Read on to know more about the watchOS 11.1 third beta.

Apple is pushing the incremental software upgrade to eligible watch models with firmware ending with 22R5559b version number. The update weighs around 370MB in download size on the Apple Watch Series 7. If you are a developer you can freely upgrade your Apple Watch to the third beta of watchOS 11.1 and try out the new features.
For the time being, the update is live for developers, it will also be available for public beta testers in a matter of time. Speaking of the features, the changelog does not mention any specific features.
So, does it mean there are no new features coming with watchOS 11.1? No, you can expect the update to bring some Apple Intelligence features, as well as other features to the watch. Apart from that you can expect system-wide, enhancements, and bug fixes.
watchOS 11.1 Beta 3 Update
If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 18.1 developer beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 11.1 beta 3 on your Watch.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap General > Software Update.
- Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
- Go back and download the third beta of watchOS 11.1.
- That’s it.
Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.
Now the watchOS 11.1 beta 3 update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
