Apple releases second beta of watchOS 11.2 for developers

Last week, Apple kick-started the testing of watchOS 11.2 on compatible watches. Today, the tech giant has released the second beta of watchOS 11.2 for testing purposes. The incremental beta goes live to developers, with a public beta is expected to be released in a matter of time.

Apple is pushing the latest gradual beta update with the 22S5083e build number. The second beta weighs around 350MB of download size. It is a free-to-install update, if you’re a developer and your watch is compatible with watchOS 11, you can easily update it to the watchOS 11.2 beta 2 to try out the new changes.

When it comes to features and changes, the changelog does not mention any specific features, this doesn’t mean the absence of new features. We can expect some new features, enhancements, and fixes to be included in the watchOS 11.2 second beta release.

watchOS 11.2 Second Beta Update

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 18.2 developer beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 11.2 beta 2 on your Watch.

Many users reported “Software Update Failed” issues after downloading the watchOS 11.2 second beta update. Fortunately, Apple promptly took note of the problem and has since resolved it. You can now install this update on your watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the second beta of watchOS 11.2.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11.2 beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
