Apple releases second beta of iPadOS 16.5 for developers

Two weeks back, Apple initially started testing iPadOS 16.5 on compatible iPads. Today, the tech titan has started pushing the second beta of incremental upgrades to the developers, obviously, it will also be released for public beta testers in a matter of time. Just like the previous updates, we can expect small changes as well as improvements across the system. Read along to know all about the iPadOS 16.5 second beta.

Apple plants the new firmware on the eligible iPads with the 20F5039e software version. The incremental upgrade weighs 516MB in size, you can quickly install it on your iPad. If you haven’t installed the first beta and running on stable iPadOS 16.4.1, then the update requires 4.86GB of download size.

As I said earlier, for the time being, the second beta is available to the developers only, and will also be released for public beta testers in a day or two. As always, Apple didnโ€™t share any information about changes in the release notes, but you can expect new features and enhancements with this update.

As per the initial beta, it brings My Sports dedicated tab to the Apple News app as well as the support for screen recording can be done using Siri. We can expect a few more changes with today’s release alongside the enhancements across the system.

If you own a compatible iPad, you can follow the below steps to install the iPadOS 16.5 second beta on your iPad.

If you want to test the new beta on your eligible iPad then there’s no need to install beta profile on your iPad. Instead, you can follow the new method to install the upgrade on your iPad. if you want to install the iPadOS 16.5 second beta, then you can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, then select Beta Updates option and choose iPadOS 16 Developer Beta or Public Beta.

Once done, go back to the Software Updates section and then you have the new update appear on your screen, tap on Download and Install option.
