Apple’s first beta release of 2025 has arrived in the form of iOS 18.3 Beta 2. After releasing the first beta in mid-December, Apple has now released the second beta. Interestingly, iOS 18.3 Beta 2 brings some non-AI features as well.
iOS 18.3 will be the third big update in the iOS 18 lineup. iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.2 focused on bringing AI features to eligible devices. While iOS 18.3 does not focus much on AI features, according to the first two beta builds.
Along with iOS 18.3 Beta 2, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.3 Beta 2, watchOS 11.3 Beta 2, tvOS 18.3 Beta 2, macOS Sequoia 15.3 Beta 3, and visionOS 2.3 Beta 2. The iOS 18.3 Beta 2 comes with build number 20D5040d, which is also same for iPadOS 18.3 Beta 2.
Talking about changes and new features, the second beta features a few changes including the continuous result using the equal button in the Calculator app. It also fixes Genmoji generation issue, writing tools issue, and more.
The update is currently available to developers, but will soon roll out to public testers as well. If you have opted for beta in Software Update page, you will receive the second beta via OTA.
If you don’t want to opt for beta, the iOS 18.3 could release by the end of this month or early next month. Before installing the update, make sure to back up your data.
