Apple has released iOS 18.6.1 to the public and re-released iOS 26 Beta 6 for developers. The third public beta of iOS 26 is also live, which is the same as the beta 6 re-release, but for public beta testers.
Apple began the week with the iOS 26 Beta 6 update, but has now re-released it to developers with a new build number, likely due to some minor changes. Both the iOS 26 Beta 6 re-release and iOS 26 Public Beta 3 carry build number 23A5318f. Whereas the original beta 6 was released with build number 23A5318c.
The iOS 18.6.1 is available to the Public who have not switched to iOS 26 beta. It comes with build number 22G90. With this update, Apple brings back the Blood Oxygen feature in the US. Currently, this feature is not available to users on the iOS 26 beta build. Here is the official changelog that comes with iOS 18.6.1.
- New Blood Oxygen experience for users in the US with Apple Watch Series 9, 10, and Ultra 2. Measurements are calculated on iPhone and viewed in the Health app.
The iOS 18.6.1 update is available for iPhone Xr and newer models running the iOS 18 build. If you’ve already upgraded to the iOS 26 beta, you won’t receive this build as your device is on a higher version. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
If you’re on an iOS 26 beta, you may have already received the iOS 26 beta 6 re-release or iOS 26 public beta 4, depending on your beta selection. If you want to switch to the beta version for early iOS 26 testing, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta.
Before installing any update, make sure to take a backup of your data either on the cloud or locally.
