Apple releases iOS 18.2 Beta 3 to Developers

As part of the weekly update cycle, Apple releases iOS 18.2 Beta 3 to developers, and it will soon be available to public testers. We already know the iOS 18.2 update is expected to release early next month, this beta brings us one step closer to the public release.

iOS 18.2 is another big update like iOS 18.1 which will bring the second wave of Apple Intelligence features. It brings new AI features such as Image Playground, Genmoji, ChatGPT integration, and more. iOS 18.2 may not be that big for devices that are not eligible for AI features, but it also brings some non-AI features.

Along with the iOS 18.2 Beta 3, Apple also released other beta builds including iPadOS 18.2 Beta 3, watchOS 11.2 Beta 2, tvOS 18.2 Beta 2, macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta 3, macOS Sonoma 14.7.2 RC2, macOS Ventura 13.7.2 RC2, and HomePodOS 18.2 Beta 2.

iOS 18.2 Beta 3 update

The iOS 18.2 Beta 3 update comes with the build number 22C5131e. As the build number ends with ‘e’, we can expect at least one more beta build possibly releasing next week, followed by a release candidate build.

Since the public release of iOS 18.2 getting closer, it’s unlikely we’ll see many changes. There are some changes though which we’ll add to the list below once we find them all.

As mentioned in the beginning, iOS 18.2 Beta 3 is currently available to developers. But soon it will be available to public testers, maybe in few hours. Those who have selected beta option in Settings can update to third beta immediately. You can check for the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
