Apple has released iOS 18.1 beta 7 to developers and will soon make it available to public beta users. With the release of new beta, Apple Intelligence wait continues. Many of us expected the sixth beta to be the last. However, Apple surprised us with another beta, which delays the public release by at least a week.
Apple talked about Apple Intelligence features at the latest iPhone launch event, but they are not yet available to the public. Some of those features are scheduled to arrive with iOS 18.1.
This year Apple started the iOS 18.1 beta way before the public release of iOS 18. But they are taking a lot of time to prepare the first big update after the iOS 18 release. Letโs just hope this is the last 18.1 beta update.
Along with the iOS 18.1 Beta 7 update, Apple also released iPadOS 18.1 Beta 7, tvOS 18.1 Beta 5, watchOS 11.1 Beta 5, and visionOS 2.1 Beta 5. Both iOS 18.1 Beta 7 and iPadOS 18.1 Beta 7 come with build number 22B5075a. The size of the update vary by the model and the last update.
Since Apple is close to the final public release of iOS 18.1, don’t expect many new features on the latest beta. However, expect a bunch of bug fixes and it might also come with some small changes.
We don’t have information on all the changes yet. I will list all the main changes and improvements below.
- iOS 18.1 beta let you set your primary email address in iCloud
- Bug fixes along with some minor changes
The iOS 18.1 Beta 7 is currently available to developers, but it will be available to public beta users soon. To check for the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Once the update is available, hit the Download and Install button.
If you are on the iOS 18 public build, donโt opt โโfor the beta as the public build will be released in just a few days.
