Apple is finally planning to release iOS 18.1 to the Public. With the iOS 18.1 Beta 6 release, Apple hints that the iOS 18.1 public release is close. The iOS 18.1 is an update that many users were waiting for more than iOS 18 as it is the update that will bring Apple Intelligence features on eligible devices.

The Apple Intelligence features that Apple showcased at the iPhone 16 launch will finally be available once the iOS 18.1 is available to the public. Some features may come in later updates, but many will be available with this first big iOS 18 update.

Today Apple also released a bunch of other updates including iPadOS 18.1 Beta 6, macOS 15.1 Beta 6, watchOS 11.1 Beta 4, tvOS 18.1 Beta 4, and visionOS 2.1 Beta 4.

iOS 18.1 Beta 6 Update

The sixth beta of iOS 18.1 comes with the build number 22B5069a. And as you can see the build number ends with โ€˜aโ€™, which could mean that this is the last beta, and in the next two weeks, the update will be released to the public.

Next week you can expect the iOS 18.1 RC. But anything can happen, Apple could even release another beta with build number ending with ‘a.’

Since Apple has already reached the last page of iOS 18.1 book, donโ€™t expect big changes in the sixth beta. iOS 18.1 Beta 6 is focused on stability and probably donโ€™t include any big changes. I will list all the main changes below.

iOS 18.1 Beta 6 is available to developers, and soon public beta testers will also get the update. If you have opted for the beta updates, you will receive iOS 18.1 beta 6 on your eligible iPhone. But if you havenโ€™t joined the beta, there is no point in joining as the public build is almost here.

To check for the update go to Settings > General > Software Update. As usual, make sure to take backup of important data before installing the update.
