Apple has released the fifth beta of iOS 18.1 to developers. Like the fourth beta, the fifth beta is available to all eligible iPhones. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest iOS 18.1 Developer Beta 5 update.
Apple began iOS 18.1 beta testing well before the iOS 18 public release. iOS 18.1 will be the first major update following iOS 18. It is also the update that will bring Apple Intelligence to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 lineup.
With every new beta release, we are getting closer to the final release which should happen sooner than expected. However, the beta for iPhone 15 or older devices is still new as it was made available just last week.
Along with the fifth iOS 18.1 Beta, Apple also released iPadOS 18.1 Beta 5, watchOS 11.1 Beta 2, tvOS 18.1 Beta 2, macOS Sequoia 15.1 Beta 5, macOS Sonoma 14.7.1 RC, macOS Ventura 13.7.1 RC, and visionOS 2.1 Beta 2.
The fifth beta of iOS 18.1 comes with build number 22B5054e which tells us that the public release is still a few betas away. When the build number ends with a, we can know that the public release is near.
