The new betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are here. iOS 17 Beta 8 and iPadOS 17 Beta 8 are now available to developers and soon to public beta testers. Earlier today, Apple had also confirmed the upcoming iPhone launch date.
The upcoming Apple event is set to take place on September 12 where the tech giant is expected to launch the new iPhone 15 lineup, Apple Watch 9 series and on the same day, we are also expecting the official release of iOS 17 to the public.
Today’s beta update coincides exactly with the launch date as the event is going to happen exactly two weeks from today. This means that iOS 17 beta 8 is the last beta update and next week we can see the release candidate build.
Along with iOS 17 Beta 8 and iPadOS 17 Beta 8, Apple will also releases watchOS 10 Beta 8, and tvOS 17 Beta 8. Both beta updates come with same build number which is 21A5326a.
As iOS 17 Beta 8 is expected to be the last beta, we are not expecting big changes but a bunch of bug fixes. It is early to say what changes are available in the latest beta. Once we find all changes, we will add them below.
- New prompt to ask nearby users for sharing what’s playing
- Some new splash screens
- There are now total 80 categories of resolved issues (change from 79 categories on last beta)
The eighth beta of iOS 17 is available for Developers. So if you are already on the iOS 17 beta, you can check for the update under Settings > General > Software Update. Make sure to take backup of your iPhone before updating.
