Apple releases iOS 17.4.1 with Important Security Updates

After a week of suspense, Apple finally released an incremental iOS 17.4.1 update for eligible iPhones. Most of us expected the update to be released last week but it did not happen. Nor did we get the beta update last week. Finally today, the Cupertino tech giant released the iOS 17.4.1 update.

The latest incremental update for iPhones comes with build number 21E236. I received the update at 377MB on my iPhone 13. The update size could vary by model and installed iOS version. Apple also released updates for some of its other devices.

iOS 17.4.1 Update

Now letโ€™s talk about the changes. Itโ€™s a small incremental update with minimal to no changes. In terms of changes it only brings a new modem update. But it is an important update because it contain security updates and some bug fixes.

Apple hasn’t mentioned any specific bug fixes, but if you encountered bugs in your previous update, then those issues might have been fixed in this update.

The iOS 17.4.1 update is rolling out to everyone. So if you are on a iOS 17.4 or previous build, you will receive the update on your iPhone if you haven’t already. You can manually check for the update in Settings > General > Software Update. Tap on the Download and Install to install the update.
