Apple today dropped fifth betas of iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6. And with the sixth beta installment release, we are now quite close to the iOS 16.6 public release. For those who didn’t opt for any beta update on their iPhones, there is a new iOS 16.5.1 (a) security response update. And in the next one or two weeks, iOS 16.6 will be available to install as well.

Along with the iOS 16.6 Beta 5 and iPadOS 16.6 Beta 5, Apple also released macOS Ventura 13.5 Beta 5, watchOS 9.6 Beta 5, tvOS 16.6 Beta 5, macOS Big Sur 11.7.9 RC 5, and, macOS Monterey 12.6.8 RC 5. Both iOS 16.6 Beta 5 and iPadOS 16.6 Beta 5 come with build number 20G5070a. The build number ends with the letter ‘a’ which means we could see the Release Candidate build next week.
