iOS 16.4.1 Update fixes Siri not responding bug and more

Apple releases iOS 16.4.1 update for everyone on iOS 16.4. The big update iOS 16.4 was released last week with new features. And as is the case with every major iOS update, there have been some bugs too on iOS 16.4. Thankfully the new incremental update fixes a bunch of existing bugs.

iOS 16 has been a great update in terms of changes and new features, but major bugs have been a problem with all iOS 16 updates. This was a major problem when iOS 16 was released but has gotten better with each major update. However, there are always some minor bugs that may be major bugs for some users.

Apart from the iOS 16.4.1 update, Apple also released iPadOS 16.4.1 and macOS Ventura 13.3.1. Yes, there is no update for Apple Watch and other remaining devices. The iOS 16.4.1 update comes with build number 20E252.

iOS 16.4.1 Update

Along with changes and new features iOS 16.4 also included bugs like the new pushing hand emoji not showing skin tone variations, and Siri not responding for some users. Later there was also the issue with the Weather app not showing data and a couple of other bugs.

Apple has squashed these bugs with the iOS 16.4.1 update. And the update also addresses some critical security issues. Here is the changelog shared by Apple.

This update provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone including:

  • Pushing hands emoji does not show skin tone variations
  • Siri does not respond in some cases

The new update is available to all iPhone users who updated to iOS 16.4. In case you have updated to iOS 16.5 Beta then you will not receive the update. Also, turn off the beta update if you are not seeing the update. To manually check for the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
