After announcing the iOS 15 a month ago, Apple is now rolling out the first iOS 15 beta and iPadOS 15 for Public beta testers. Apple already rolled out two iOS 15 beta updates for developers with some new features mentioned in the WWDC 21 event. But Public beta testers only had the option to test iOS 14.7 beta. But now anyone with a supported device can try the iOS 15 Beta and iPadOS 15 beta.
Last week we also shared that Apple seeds the iOS 15 Developer Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Developer Beta 2. And to match the naming, the first public beta also comes out as iOS 15 Public Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta 2 for iPhones and iPads respectively. If you don’t know, all iPhones and iPads with iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 update support the new iOS 15/iPadOS 15.
Apple also released watchOS 8 Public Beta 2, tvOS 15 Public Beta 2, along with iOS 15 Public Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta 2. Both iOS 15 Public Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta 2 come with build number 19A5281j. The update weighs around 5GB which can vary according to the device model. And to match the build number Apple also revised iOS 15 Dev Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Dev Beta 2.
Talking about features, the iOS 15 Public Beta 2 comes with the same features that are available in the first developer beta and second developer beta. These features include Focus, Portraits for watchOS, SharePlay, New emojis and a lot more.
