Apple releases iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8

As expected Apple has released the iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8 for developers as well as public beta testers. Both iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 has been improved a lot since the release of its first beta. And we are now getting closer to the public stable release which hopefully we can expect to release this month. But it all depends on Apple. But for now, you can try out the latest Beta 8. Here you will know how to download and install iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8.

We have seen many changes is UI in the past few beta updates and the same with beta 8. It also comes with slight changes in UI that you will notice only if you compare it with the last beta. The iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8 also focused on bug fixes and performance improvement. So if you are facing issues in Beta 7 then you can expect the fix in beta 8.

iOS 14 Beta 8 Update

If we talk about other updates then, Apple has also released watchOS 7 Beta 8, tvOS 14 Beta 8 along with iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8. The latest beta 8 comes with build version 18A5373a on both iOS and iPadOS. It means we are close to the final release. On iPhones, the update size is near 100MB depending on the device you have. It can also vary if you are coming from iOS 13 public stable.

iOS 14 Beta 8 – Changes

There is nothing major change we noticed in this iOS 14 Beta 8. There are some slight changes in UI and performance. It also has the same modem version as the last iOS 14 beta 7. So if you have any network related issue, then you may have to wait a little more for its fix.

If you use the Apple Watch app then you will notice the change in-app icons like Siri, Messages, Apple Layout.

Homescreen navigation also received some changes. Now we can’t go back from jiggle mode using the swipe up gesture. Also from widgets, we can’t go back to the home screen using the swipe up gesture. It may be a little bit problem for those who are used to swipe up gestures.

There are some more changes like Exposure notification texts and bug fixes. But nothing major changes that will notice in the iOS 14 Beta 8.

Download & Install iOS 14 Beta 8 and iPadOS 14 Beta 8

Apple is the best brand when it comes to updates including Beta and public stable updates. They roll out beta updates every week that makes it exciting. And if you also want to try the latest iOS 14 beta 8 or iPadOS 14 Beta 8 then you can manually search for updates in Settings if you are already in iOS 14 beta. But in case if you are on the iOS 13 Public stable version then you have to install a beta profile on your iPhone or iPad in order to receive the iOS Beta update.

There are more ways to install iOS 14 Beta 8 such as using iTunes or Finder. But updating with the beta profile is easier and safe.

Sign Up for iOS 14 Beta Program & Install Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID (developer account).
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.

  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install 14 Beta 8 on your iPhone & iPadOS 14 Beta 8 on iPads.

In case if you decide to go back to the stable version then you can use the IPSW file and install using Finder or iTunes. You can also remove the beta profile if you don’t want to receive the beta update on your iPhone or iPad. Stay connected for more iPhone and iPad news.
