Apple releases iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS 14 Beta 7

About a couple of days ago iPhone and iPad users received the Public stable iOS 13.7 and iPadOS 13.7 update. And today Apple has released the next beta called iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS 14 Beta 7. Apple has never compromised on providing updates and this is another example. In case if you don’t know how to get iOS 14 Beta 7. Then here you will know how to download and install iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS Beta 7.

We also got the news that the iOS 14 public release can be delayed. It came after Facebook said the new policy in the iOS 14 update could affect the business relations. It means we can see a few more beta after the iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS 14 Beta 7. The latest beta update doesn’t mention any new features. It is just an update with bug fixes and some improvement in performance and UI. Just like in the past few beta updates this also has some tweaks which you will know in the next section.

iOS 14 Beta 7

The latest iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS 14 Beta 7 are not the only updates released today. Apple has also released the macOS Big Sur 11 Beta 6 and tvOS 14 Beta 7. And if we talk about the size of the latest beta update then it is available in approx 400MB. The iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS Beta 7 comes with build version 18A5369b. There is no update on Modem firmware so the connection performance will be similar to iOS 14 Beta 6.

iOS 14 Beta 7 and iPadOS 14 Beta 7 – Changes

Apple doesn’t mention exact changes and bug fixes for beta updates. But you always find some changes in these updates. iOS 14 Beta 7 comes with some improvements in UI and performance.

The first change that you will notice is the dark mode in the existing wallpapers including striped wallpapers. iOS 14 Beta 7

Apple also pushed the updated ad anti-tracking feature with the iOS 14 beta 7. It will give developers more time to make necessary changes to their apps.

In the App Library now there’s a new section “Shopping and Food”. Also, the Productivity section renamed to Productivity and Finance.

There might be some other changes but not the major changes. The performance is very much similar to its previous update.

Download & Install iOS 14 Beta 7

If you are looking forward to trying the new beta on your iPhone or iPad, then you can manually search for the update in Settings. But in case if you are on the public stable release i.e iOS 13.7 then you can get the beta update on your Apple device after installing the beta profile. Also, you can use the IPSW file if you are updating through Finder or iTunes. But here we will share the method using beta profile.

Sign Up for iOS 14 Beta Program & Install Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID (developer account).
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14 Beta 7 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install 14 Beta 7 on your iPhone & iPadOS 14 Beta 7 on iPads.

In case if you decide to go back to the stable version then you can use the IPSW file and install using Finder or iTunes. You can also remove the beta profile if you don’t want to receive the beta update on your iPhone or iPad. Stay connected for more iPhone and iPad news.
