Apple releases iOS 14.2 Beta 2 & iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2 with new emojis in the collection

Apple has released the second beta of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 two weeks after the first beta. IOS 14.2 is the one that comes with a huge improvement in UI and planned to release along with the iPhone 12 series. It is just the estimated release date, not the confirmed release date. So just wait and watch for the public stable release. Here you get to download iOS 14.2 Beta 2 and iPadOS 14.2 beta 2.

The second beta of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 released a few hours ago. Currently, it is available for developers but soon Apple will also roll out for public beta users. The second beta does not load many new features but it comes with a handful of new emojis that we will discuss later.

Apple is known for its regular updates either stable or beta versions. If you were unable to try the iOS 14.2 beta 1 on iPhone XR. Then you can install the second beta on your device. Today Apple has also released watchOS 7.1 Beta 2, tvOS 14.2 beta, macOS Big Sur beta 9. There is also a firmware update so if you have any connection issues upgrade your iPhone to the latest version.

The main change in the second beta is that it comes with a lot of new emojis. These emojis were announced by Apple back in June and finally, they are now available in the iOS update.

There are more than 15 new emojis making its way to iPhones and iPads. The new set of emoji includes Ninja, worm, cat, and many other interesting Emojis. There are many more Emojis that are expected to release with different updates in batches.

There are no other new features added in the iOS 14.2 Beta 2 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2. And as usual the update is released to fix bugs and improve stability and performance of the iOS and iPadOS.

As we have mentioned earlier the iOS 14.2 Beta 2 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2 is available for developers so you need to wait a little longer for the public beta testing. Below you will find how you can update your device.

Download and Install iOS 14.2 Beta 2 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2

The second beta of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 is recommended for installation if you have any connectivity or network issue on your device. It is because the latest update comes with updated firmware that might fix your device. You can easily download and install the iOS 14.2 Beta 2 or iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2 if you have enrolled for developer beta. It will be released soon for public beta users as well. Below you will find a simple guide to upgrade to the latest beta update without deleting any data.

Install iOS 14.2 Beta Profile and iPadOS 14.2 Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID (developer account).
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.2 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad.

In case if you decide to go back to the stable version then you can use the IPSW file and install using Finder or iTunes. You can also remove the beta profile if you don’t want to receive the beta update on your iPhone or iPad. Stay connected for more iPhone and iPad news.
