Apple releases fifth watchOS 8.7 beta update for developers

Two months back, Apple originally started testing the watchOS 8.7 for the Apple Watch. The firm has already released four beta builds for the upcoming watchOS 8.7 update. And today, Apple kicked off the fifth beta of watchOS 8.7 for the developers. Apple is seeding the new watchOS 8.7 beta 5 with a 19U5063a build number, it is a small incremental upgrade for the developers. And as per the build number, we can expect that the next update could be the release candidate build followed by a public release. If you’re a developer then you can freely upgrade your Apple Watch to watchOS 8.7 beta 5 and test the apps and other stuff on the upcoming software. As always, the update is available on all Apple Watch models running watchOS 8 or newer.

The recently released version brings ECG app support for Apple Watch Series 4 or later and Irregular heart rhythm notifications in Mexico. And as per the previous trends, we can expect that Apple might push the ECG and Irregular heart rhythm notification support to more regions with this upgrade.   1. At first, you need to login to Apple Developer Program website.
  2. Then, head over to the downloads.
  3. Tap on watchOS 8.7 beta 5 available under featured downloads. Then tap on the download button.
  4. Now install watchOS 8.7 beta 5 profile on your iPhone, then authorize the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
  5. Now restart your iPhone.

If your Apple Watch is already running on the third beta of watchOS 8.7, then you’ll receive the new update over-the-air, while if you’re on a stable build, then here’s how you can join the beta.
