Apple releases fifth developer beta of watchOS 11

With just one month left for the public availability of watchOS 11, Apple continues the beta testing with the release of the fifth developer beta. The gradual upgrade addresses several issues and brings further enhancements. Read on to know more about the watchOS 11 beta 5.

Apple plants the incremental upgrade on the eligible watches with the 22R5328e build number. It weighs around 830MB of download size on my Apple Watch Series 7. For the time being, the upgrade is available to developers only, a public beta should be released later this week or next week.

Apple didn’t mention the changes coming with the incremental beta; however, you can expect bug fixes and overall enhancements.

In terms of features and changes, watchOS 11 boasts a bunch of useful features including automatic sleep detection, revamped Photos Watch Face, an all-new Vitals app, Training Load, Live activities support for Smart Stack, a Translate app with 20 languages support, and many more.

If you want to try out these features, then you can upgrade your watch to the watchOS 11 beta 5, here’s how you can install it on your watch.

watchOS 11 Beta 5

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 18 developer beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 11 beta 5 on your Watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the fifth beta of watchOS 11.
  5. Thatโ€™s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11 third beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
