Apple surprisingly released the iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 Beta 1 to developers and public beta testers. About two days ago Apple released the latest stable iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 to the public. Last week also Apple pushed two updates back to back. No one was expecting this new beta update and it is a surprise. We will share what’s new in the iOS 14.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.4 Beta 1.
The first iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 beta is rolling out for developers. It is also available for public beta testers. It is a big update and after reading some reviews, users find it better in performance.
Apple also released watchOS 7.3 Beta 1, tvOS 14.4 Beta 1 along with iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 Beta 1. It is a big update and fixes many known bugs. If you had a green tint issue in the previous update then you can expect it to be fixed in this update. The iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 Beta 1 comes with build version 18D5030e.
iOS 14.4 Beta 1 Update – What’s New
The update is majorly focused on bug fixes and performance enhancement. And so you may not see many new features in the first iOS 14.4 beta and iPadOS 14.4 Beta. But you will be surprised by the smooth experience.
Till now what we have noticed something new is that iOS 14.4 beta 1 brings the ability to scan app clip codes designed by Apple using your camera or from the control center.

It is a part of weekly updates from Apple. But as next week everyone will be on holiday and so we may not get updates for the next two weeks. This update seems to be pretty stable.
Download & Install iOS 14.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.4 Beta 1
The first iOS 14.4 beta is now available for developers and public beta testers. If you are on the iOS 14.3 Release Candidate build then you can expect the update over the air. But in case if you are on the stable build then you need to register for the beta program.
You can easily opt for the beta for the latest iOS beta updates. The main requirement for installing beta updates is the beta profile. You will get the update once you install the beta profile on your iPhone or iPad. You can follow the below steps to install beta profile for beta updates.
Install iOS 14.4 Beta Profile and iPadOS 14.4 Beta Profile
- Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
- Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
- On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
- Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
- Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
- After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.4 beta 1 on your iPhone.
After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad. You can also install iOS 14.4 Beta 1 with the full IPSW file using Finder or iTunes.
