Apple kicks off watchOS 10 beta 7 to developers

Apple has just released the incremental watchOS 10 beta for developers. Yes, the seventh beta is out for testing purposes. This release comes just one week after the rollout of the sixth beta. With each successive beta upgrade, we are getting closer to the public release. Read on to know all details of the watchOS 10 beta 7.

The latest update goes official with the 21R5349b build number. The newest beta weighs only 188MB in size, which is relatively smaller than the previous beta. Yes, you can quickly install it on your Apple Watch. Currently, it is limited to the developers, we can expect a new public beta release in a matter of time, which will also be the first public beta for the Apple Watch.

As always, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the official release notes for today’s build, but we can expect bug fixes and system-wide enhancements. This is the release notes coming with today’s update:

watchOS 10 Dev Beta 7

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 17 developer beta 7, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10 beta on your Watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 10 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the sixth beta of watchOS 10.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.

Now the watchOS 10 beta 7 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
