Two months back, Apple officially started testing watchOS 9.2. Today, the company has released an incremental fourth beta to the developer channel. watchOS 9.2 is a major upgrade coming to the Apple Watch this month with a flurry of new changes and improvements. Apple plants the latest beta firmware on the Apple Watch with the 20S5357b build number. The update weighs 223MB in size which is comparatively smaller than the third beta build. If you are a developer then you can freely upgrade your Apple Watch to the latest watchOS 9.2 third beta. It will also be available for public beta testers in a matter of time. The incremental software upgrade is available for Apple Watch Series 4 and newer.
watchOS 9.2 update bags many new features added race route workout feature for runners and cyclists, support for the new Home app architecture, International Roaming, Oceanic+ app dive computer, alongside the system-wide improvements.
Apple didn’t share the release notes with the beta builds, so any of the above-mentioned changes are not officially confirmed yet but are expected to be released soon.
watchOS 9.2 fourth beta update
Apple releases a new beta of iOS i.e., iOS 16.2 beta 4, so, if your iPhone is running on the latest beta then you can easily update your Apple Watch to the watchOS 9.2 fourth beta. Here’s how you can update your watch to the new version.
- At first, you need to login to Apple Developer Program website.
- Then, head over to the downloads.
- Tap on watchOS 9.2 fourth beta available under featured downloads. Then tap on the download button.
- Now install watchOS 9.2 fourth beta profile on your iPhone, then authorize the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
- Now restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.
Now the watchOS 9.2 fourth beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
