While most brands began rolling out the stable Android 15 update last year, Asus is still in the testing phase, similar to Samsung. The company is currently testing the Android 15 beta on the Zenfone 11 Ultra, Zenfone 10, and ROG Phone 8. Additionally, Asus has started sending invites to Rog Phone 7 users for the Android 15 beta program.

Update: Asus has officially announced the Android 15 Preview for ROG Phone 7. You can follow this guide apply for the preview/beta program.

A user Caoimhin has shared a screenshot on the Asus forum that confirms the announcement of the Android 15 beta program for the ROG Phone 7. However, it has not been started yet. You may have to wait for the official announcement on the forum.

Android 15 beta invite Rog Phone 7

The ROG Phone 7 was released in 2023 with Android 13 and is only eligible for two OS upgrades. This means Android 15 will be the last major update for the device.

Although Asus announced the Android 15 beta for Zenfone 11 Ultra in October, they started the beta journey only in December. So, there is no clue when they will start releasing the Android 15 beta build for the ROG Phone 7.

If you’re curious about the features Android 15 will bring to your Asus phone, check out this changelog from the Zenfone 10. It provides a sneak peek at what you can expect while you wait for the update on your ROG Phone 7.

  • Introduced new UI design, including the Predictive back animation, and Edge to edge display.
  • Revamped Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, Phone Clone, Launcher, Game Genie, and so on.
  • Support the Private space feature: Hide or lock private apps in a separate space, with a dedicated Google account and locking functionality. Detailed options can be adjusted in the Privacy settings.
  • Support Live Caption, Live Transcribe, Sound Notifications, Unknown tracker alerts, Allow WEP networks, and Automatically turn on Bluetooth tomorrow settings.
  • Adjusted the High contrast text setting to Android 15 behavior: Change text color to black or white. Maximizes contrast with the background.
  • Adjusted the floating window to Android 15 behavior: Tap the three dot menu at the top to open the tool panel, Tap and drag the top area of the window to change the position, Tap and drag the edge of the window to resize the window.

You can expect an even bigger changelog in the official version rollout, but this gives some idea of what to expect with the Android 15 update and whether itโ€™s worth trying out the Android 15 beta.
