While every other brand has already started rolling out the Android 14 update, Motorola is still stuck on Android 13. Google released the Android 13 update more than a year ago, but there are still some Motorola phones that havenโt received the update yet. However, now at least one more phone is off the waiting list. The Moto G72 is now receiving the stable Android 13 update.
The Moto G72 is a budget phone released just a year ago with the Android 12 OS. Surprisingly, it took the company a whole year to roll out the Android 13 update, which should have been delivered last year. Unfortunately, Android 13 doesn’t bring much to the table that would justify a year-long wait.
The Android 13 update for Galaxy G72 is rolling out with build number T2SV33.68-21-6. It is a major update for the device and weighs over a GB.
If we talk about new features and changes, the Android 13 brings themed icons matching wallpapers, more customization options, customize apps by color, theme, and language, album artwork on media player along with dancing playback bar, app notification control, and more.
If you own Galaxy G72, you can expect the latest Android 13 update on your phone. Motorola has officially confirmed that the update will be available for Moto G72 starting December 21.
You can manually check for the update from Settings. But before upgrading the phone, make sure to take the backup and charge your phone to at least 50%.
