One UI 5 based on Android 13 is now rolling out to the unlocked variants of the Galaxy A52 5G in the US. The 5G phone first received the latest update outside the US in November last year. The update rolled out for carrier locked models in the US later in December. Almost two months later from the first update, Galaxy A52 5G unlocked also starts receiving the update.
There is not much talk about One UI 5 these days as Samsung has already invested in other big highlights like Galaxy S23, the Unpacked event, and the One UI 5.1 update. And all three will be revealed in a couple of days, on February 1st to be precise. One UI 5.1 is expected to be a big update, you can read about it here.
Samsung released the Galaxy A52 5G with Android 11 in early 2021. The 5G phone later received its first major Android update which was Android 12. And this makes Android 13 the second major update for the device. For Samsung phones, Android 13 is available with the One UI 5 update.
Galaxy A52 5G Unlocked variant is getting Android 13 update in the US with build number A526U1UEU7DWA2. Since it is a major update, it comes with many changes and new features. Along with all changes, the new update also brings December 2022 Android Security Patch.
Talking about the list of changes, it includes lock screen customization, new wallpapers, improved animations, minor visual improvements, new routines and modes, new and big widgets, per app language preference, notification permission consent, and many other changes. If you are a Galaxy A52 5G unlocked user in the US, you will receive the update soon, in case you haven’t received it already. The OTA update for unlocked Galaxy A52 5G users is rolling out in batches. So some users might get the update early or maybe some users get the update late.
In case the update doesn’t show up in your phone’s notification, so make sure to check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. And once the update is available, you can install it.
Before updating your phone, make sure to take a backup of important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
