Android 12 has been available for over half a year now. And by now most of the OEMs have pushed the Android 12 update to many of their eligible phones. LG is one of these OEMs, despite pulling out of the smartphone market. LG is no longer in the Smartphone business, but the company promised to deliver updates to available devices until the summer of 2025. And as a result, we continue to see the updates for LG phones. Three more LG phones are scheduled to receive Android 12 in the second quarter.
LG impressed everyone with its update policy as well as the timely update rollout. Android 12 is a major update with a big UI overhaul and it is amazing to see the company that is no longer in the Smartphone industry is still giving competition to existing big names. Till now LG has made available Android 12 for LG Velvet. And as we now enter the second quarter of the year, we will be receiving Android 12 updates for the more eligible devices.

Apart from these three phones, LG has also mentioned devices that will get performance updates. LG Q52 and LG Wing will be getting the Performance and Security update in the same timeline.
Mentioned three phones will first get the Android 12 update in South Korea. But we can expect its availability in other regions at a later date. If you receive the Android 12 OTA update don’t forget to take a full backup before upgrading your LG phone. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% before updating.
Android 12 is a major update, so with the update, you can expect many new features and changes. Some of the expected features are new Privacy controls, IoT device control icon joins the notification window, smart lock in the lock screen, a new function to free up space for apps that are not in use for months, Safety and emergency menus feature, and more. You can also access the basic features coming with Android 12.
