Android 12 was released last year with the One UI 4.0 update. But after the Samsung Galaxy S22 launch, Samsung released One UI 4.1 with more features. And now almost all phones get Android 12 with the One UI 4.1 update. The Galaxy A51 was released in late 2019 with Android 10 while the Galaxy F62 was released last year with Android 11. So Android 12 is the second major and first major update for Galaxy A61 & F62 respectively.
The Android 12 for Galaxy A51 is rolling out in Asia and Europe with build version A515FXXU5FVC2. And the Android 12 for Galaxy F62 is available in India with build version E625FDDU2BVC3. Since Android 12 based One UI 4.1 is a major update, it comes in around 2GB.
Talking about new features and changes, Galaxy F62 Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update comes with February 2022 Android Security Patch. As of now, we don’t know the security patch level for Galaxy A51 but we will share it soon once available. Now coming to new features and changes you can expect new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more.

If you are a Galaxy A51 user in Asia or Europe or a Galaxy F62 user in India, then you will receive the update soon, if you haven’t already. As it is a staged rollout, the OTA update takes a few days to arrive on all phones. You can manually check for the update in Settings > Software update and if the update is available click on Download and Install.
If you want the update your Galaxy A51 or Galaxy F62 to Android 12 immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija tool, Samsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of these two tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
