Android 12 based ColorOS 12 stable update goes live for Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro

Last month, Oppo announced ColorOS 12 beta program for the Reno4 and Reno4 Pro. The two phones have started getting the stable Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update. Yes, you can finally upgrade your Reno4 or Reno4 Pro to its second major OS upgrade. The smartphone was originally launched in August 2020, last year, it received its first major OS upgrade, in the form of Android 11. Now the second major release is seeding with a bunch of new features, changes, and improvements. Read along to know more about Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro Android 12 update (stable).

Following the previous trends, Oppo has confirmed the rollout through its community forum. As per the details, the update goes live for the Reno4 in India and Indonesia, while the Reno4 Pro gets the new update in India. The update is rolling in different batches, the first batch goes live for select users, will join more phones in the coming days.

Oppo mentions that your phone needs to be running on C.42 / C.43 / C.44 software version, yes, make sure to upgrade your smartphone to the newest available software version. Talking about the new software, then the ColorOS 12 is coming to the Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro with F.07 build number.

As I said earlier, it comes with a slew of new features, the list includes features like the new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these wallsย right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels.

You can head over to the Settings > Software Update > ColorOS 12 version, then request an update. Once done, you will receive the ColorOS 12 build over the air with new features and goodies.
