Samsung can be seen rolling out the Android 11 update to a large number of its models. Not far behind is the Galaxy A60 (SMA6060). The Galaxy A60 was launched in 2019 with Android 9 out of the box. The device received its first major update as Android 10 in 2020. And now the latest Android 11 for Galaxy A60 is currently rolling out to devices in China as of now. But we can expect the update to go live in other regions soon.
So far there has been no confirmation if it is the One UI 3.0 or 3.1 update that is currently seeding out to the Galaxy A60. It could possibly be the One UI 3.1 update as most of the other Galaxy devices have received the Android 11 update alongside One UI 3.1.
The Android 11 update for Galaxy A60 is currently rolling out alongside the March 2021 security patch. It is not the latest but it fixes many known vulnerabilities. The Galaxy A60 Android 11 update comes with the firmware version upgraded to A6060ZCU3CUD3. Since it is a major update, you can expect it to weigh more than other security patch updates.
Since this is a major update for Galaxy A60 after a long time, you can expect many new features. Some notable features are Private Share, Nearby Share, Eye Comfort Shield, Remove location data, Auto Switch feature, along with a few other features. And since it is the Android 11 update, you will also get to experience features like One Time Permissions, Chat Bubbles, notification history, smart controls, Media Player widgets right in the quick settings area and more.
If you are in the same region the Galaxy A60 Android 11 update is rolling, then it is possible that you already received the update. Sometimes users do not get the notification for the update. And in that case, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software Updates. It will show the update, click on Download & Install to get the update.
Users can switch to WiFi to download the update as the file size will be quite big. If you are in a hurry and want to grab the update as soon as possible you can always flash the update manually by making use of various tools such as Frija Tool, SamFirm Tool, and the Samsung Firmware Downloader. Additionally, you can head over to SamMobile and download the firmware from their firmware archive. You can flash the Android 11 firmware using the Odin tool.
