YTECHB’s monthly wallpaper collection aka YMWC for August is here! This month, I am sharing 20 mind-boggling backgrounds which you can use on both iPhone and Google Pixel. Yes, this month’s collection also features some wallpapers for the Pixel 6 series phones. All wallpapers in this collection are in full-HD resolution, read along to explore this month’s YMWC wallpaper collection.
This month’s collection has been sourced from different sources including Telegram, Reddit, Tumblr, Pexels, and other third-party sources. After spending some hours, I curated 20 wallpapers that you can use on your phone’s home screen or lock screen this month. If you’re thinking about the quality of the wallpapers, then you’ll be glad to know that all wallpapers are in 1125 X 2436 pixels resolution, you can use them on iPhone XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13 series. Obviously, you can also use them on Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, and other Android phones.
You can pick different type of wallpapers from today’s collection. In 20 wallpapers you’ll find a couple of colorful wallpapers, RAW photos from different locations, a few Pixel 6’s bloom-inspired backgrounds, abstract wallpapers, and some AMOLED wallpapers. Stray is one of the most talked about games of last month, for unknowns, Stray is an interesting adventure indie game where you play as a cat. And the famous cat now comes to your cell phone in the form of background. Thanks to u/LeonardStrife90 for sharing a stunning AMOLED wallpaper of a cat, the background has over 83% of blackness, here’s the preview of it.
Golden Gate Bridge
Last month’s YMWC collection has a stunning Golden Gate bridge RAW photo, everyone loves it. So, we’re here with another amazing shot of the Golden Gate Bridge taken by Mohamed Almari. One of the best things about this stunning shot is that you can take the advantage of iOS 16’s depth effect on the lock screen, it looks amazing, check out the preview.
Seven Planets
The next background in the list was shared by Nasa in 2020 on the occasion of “the third anniversary of the discovery of a remarkable system of seven planets known as TRAPPIST-1”. Plant and Sky
The next wallpaper in today’s YMWC collection is a shot of plant and sky in the background, taken by a user from iPhone 13. Reddit user (u/cyanide_happinesss_) shared it on the iPhone Wallpapers community. The wallpaper looks stunning on both Pixel phones and iPhones. Here you can check the preview.
Abstract 3D Balls
Reddit user (u/I_DoStufffYT) shared a mind-blowing abstract wallpaper, you’ll love using it on your phone’s home screen or lock screen. It wallpaper flaunts abstract flames at the bottom and 3D balls on top. You can see the preview image here before downloading it.
Space Red
The next wallpaper in today’s collection is a stunning shot of space with a red texture in the background. Reddit user (u/vNike), shared this wallpaper in the iPhone Wallpapers subreddit. Here you can check the preview of the wallpaper.
Desert
People Walking in the Deserts of Algeria during a day is the next shot in the list, shared by Amine M’siouri on Pexels. It is a RAW photo that shows off brown sand dunes and a blue sky. I optimized the background so you can use it on your iPhone or Google Pixel. Check out the preview here.
Colorful Sky
If you’re looking for a colorful clouds wallpaper, then you’ll love this wallpaper shared by u/tdrreka. The image features a beautiful landscape, colorful clouds, mountains, and a road. The wallpaper looks awesome on the lock screen of the iPhone, check out the preview before downloading.
Foggy London Street
Tom Whyte shared a mind-blowing image of Foggy London Street on Pexels. The photo shows off a bridge with a bus going on it and a building in the background. The wallpaper works with the iOS 16’s depth effect on the lock screen. Here you can check the preview of the photo.

The next wallpaper in the collection is Pixel 6’s bloom-inspired wallpaper. The background was originally shared by RAZER featuring soft greens in the background. Stranger Things
Reddit user (u/Delicious_Leg_2347) has dropped an amplified version of Stranger Things. Yes, an AMOLED version with 45% of darkness in it. Punch Buggy
The next background in the line is a wallpaper of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, the same car in the Midtown Madness game if you remember. Reddit user (u/goin_surfin) shared this stunning photo to refresh the old memories, if you like the below listed image, then you can download it on your smartphone.
iOS 16 Mockup Wallpaper
At WWDC 2022, Apple used many amazing wallpapers to flaunt the iOS 16’s lock screen and all default iOS 16 wallpapers are already available. But not the ones Apple used during the WWDC keynote, here you can download one wallpaper seen at the keynote, thanks to Reddit user (u/Strepsils1101) for sharing it.
Bonifacio Global City Street
The next image in today’s collection is a RAW shot taken in the streets of BGC during sunset, you’ll love using this image on your smartphone. The shot was shared by u/Litratista_101 user, check out the preview of the wallpaper here.
Mountains and Planet
Reddit user u/ilonatms shared a mind-blowing image of mountains and a planet. This wallpaper will fade the notch on the iPhone, it looks amazing in the dark mode, make sure to give it a try. Now let’s take a look at the preview image of the wallpaper.

The next wallpaper in this collection is yet another AMOLED wallpaper. This one is a 3D Artistic wallpaper with moonlight and Canyon of Elves, shared by u/MurilogsBR on Reddit.
